ajestic Woodworking is a custom design furniture business that specializes in creating Decorative Mirrors. Part objet d’art and part room furnishing, Decorative Mirrors combine both beauty and practicality. Majestic Woodworking’s owner/operator Robert Mozin prides himself on being able to design "any mirror, to suit any décor." Using various types of wood, metal, stone and glass products, he can create any effect that you desire, for any room in your home or office. Whether you prefer a traditional design that blends in with your own décor or are looking for a striking, avant-garde piece to be the focal point of your room, you will find the perfect Decorative Mirror at Majestic Woodworking.
Majestic Woodworking uses various types of lumber in their products, from domestically grown pine and fir, to more exotic species such as tiger maple, or sapele from Africa. The company likes to experiment with innovative ways of blending these different types of wood together -- often with striking results. See, for example, Meteor, which is constructed from two distinct lumber species: a softwood fir from western Canada; and jatoba, a cherry hardwood from Brazil. Note how the rich, burgundy-toned jatoba creates a beautiful contrast to the pale-colored fir. Another mirror that blends different woods is Rio, a highly unique piece with an inverted teardrop design. Here, an exotic, dark sapele lumber is paired with a domestic clear fir with spectacular results. To view more mirrors, visit our Products page.
Majestic Woodworking also likes to add distinct features to each mirror to make each of their creations specifically unique. These features include everything from etchings and stone inlays, to decorative metal rods and seedy glass panels. Sometimes, frames are designed to appear unusually asymmetrical or even three-dimensional. Danielle Greene lives in the Shuswap area and is an art appreciator. "I love how each mirror is an original work of art," says Greene. "For instance, I find the combination of wood, granite and aluminum in Dawson to be highly interesting. It is a very graceful and imaginative design." Laura Smith, another Shuswap resident, adds: "My favorite mirrors are the three-dimensional versions that come with attaching cabinets or shelves, such as Casablanca, and Venice. Not only are they beautiful, they are functional as well."
